Tile and Grout Cleaning & Restoration - Frequently Asked Questions

Question:
I just had my floors professionally cleaned and I don't like how they came out. Can you make them look better?
Answer:
Yes, they can look much better. Unfortunately, cleaning does not remove the permanent discoloration grout tends to get over the years.  If you had an old faded and stained shirt, it wouldn't help much to take it to the dry cleaners.  The same is true for grout.  GroutPro restored floors typically look brand new because we take a proactive approach in dealing with the discoloration issue. In fact, they are better than new because they are sealed with our proprietary sealer which does an unbelievable job of keeping the stains out.

Question:
How long does the GroutPro process take?
Answer:
Most jobs are completed in one day or less.  Jobs that include many areas in a house may take two or three days.

Question:
Does it make a mess of my house?
Answer:
GroutPro takes great pride in every job and strives to leave the surroundings in as good or better condition than when we arrived.

Question:
How much does it cost?
Answer:
The cost of a job ultimately depends on an experienced estimation of how much time the job will require plus materials.  GroutPro gives free estimates and has a minimum charge of $200 (in most cases).  Most jobs are less than $1000, even when multiple surfaces are restored.  In all cases, the cost and inconvenience is much less than replacement.

Question:
How long does it last?
Answer:
This mostly depends on how the tiled surface is cared for after GroutPro's restoration/sealing.  With the use of mild cleaning products (GroutPro recommended) and proper maintenance, the GroutPro treatment will provide many years of service.

Question:
I have a brand new home, will GroutPro seal my grout?
Answer:
Yes.  In fact there is no better time to have your grout sealed as no cleaning is required.

Question:
Is GroutPro licensed and insured?
Answer:
Yes.  GroutPro is a licensed California contractor (#780212) and is liability insured for every job it performs.  The hiring of unlicensed service providers exposes the home owner to potential lawsuits if a problem arises.

Question:
Does GroutPro service my city?
Answer:
GroutPro serves most of the San Diego area.

Question:
I just have a little area that needs some grout.  Do you do that kind of work?
Answer:
GroutPro wants all surfaces it works on to look like new.  Therefore, we typically do not just work on a small area of a tiled surface.

Question:
Who does GroutPro typically work for?
Answer:
Most of GroutPro's jobs are performed for residential home owners who want that new tile look.  Other people who use GroutPro's services include Real Estate
agents, Property managers and commercial Facility managers.
